Cairo, Egypt: Egypt announced on Thursday (Friday in Manila) the release of 46 prisoners, including a prominent left-wing activist and lawyer who had been behind bars for four years.
The prosecutor had decided to free "46 detainees", including "left-wing lawyer Haitham Mohamedin", Tariq al-Awad, a member of Egypt's Presidential Pardon Committee, said on Twitter.
