Telcos in unison with NTC of blocking malicious sites

TELECOMMUNICATION companies were in unison in expressing support to the directive of the National Telecommunications Commission's (NTC) to block or deactivate URLs in text messages as this will institutionalize the fight against spam and text fraud.

In a statement, Globe said that had been blocking spam and scam text messages that they detect, including those containing malicious URLs or links.
