REMITTANCES from Filipinos working abroad increased by 2.3 percent year on year to reach $3.24 billion in July from $3.17 billion in the same month of 2021, data from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed Thursday.
BSP attributed the increase in personal remittances in July 2022 to remittances sent by land-based workers with work contracts of one year or more, and sea- and land-based workers with work contracts of less than one year.
