Imposing VAT on digital transactions needs more study – lawmaker

Senior Deputy Minority Leader Paul Daza voiced his opposition to the measure that seeks to impose Value Added Tax on digital transactions.

"The intention is certainly good as we indeed need to impose VAT on big companies such as non-resident digital service providers (DSP), but we also need to protect small and medium enterprises and other small players," Daza said of House Bill 4122.
