SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go on Monday said that while he respects the government's decision to relax its regulations on the wearing of masks in public spaces, he continues to appeal to Filipinos to continue following health protocols and get vaccinated against Covid-19, including booster shots.
"I'm sure this was studied by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases) headed by the Department of Health. It's based on good science always. Every month, every week, our government carefully studied this. I support it," the chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography said. "However, I still urge our countrymen not to be over-confident. While Covid-19 is still around, it is still dangerous. Nothing will be lost if we continue to wear our mask. It's hard to be sick."
