Lawmaker to DepEd, DPWH: Build resilient schools

DINAGAT Islands Rep. Alan Ecleo urged the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Education (DepEd) to create a disaster-resilient master design for schools.

The House Committee unanimously passed House Resolution 289, introduced by Ecleo, directing the agencies to enter into an interdepartmental memorandum of agreement for the creation and implementation of disaster-resilient master designs and architectural plans for all primary and secondary schools in coastal areas.
