BEIJING: Growth in China's consumer and factory-gate inflation moderated slightly last month amid the East Asian country's efforts to ensure sufficient supply and stable prices.
The consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 2.5 percent year on year in August, 0.2 percentage point lower than the July figure, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said last Friday.
