BACACAY, Albay: Albay Gov. Noel Rosal is eyeing equipping public schools in geographically-isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs) to put up Wi-Fi to help the teachers and students in their research work and sending reports to the mainland without going to the mountains to detect data signal.
Rosal told The Manila Times that he talked with the telecommunication companies about the possibilities of establishing communication towers in the islands of Albay to help and alleviate the plight of the students and teachers in GIDAs, specifically in the islands of Cagraray, Batan, Rapu-Rapu and San Miguel, without internet and telecommunication signals.
