The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) issued two yellow alerts and a red alert in the Luzon power grid on Monday after seven power plant units with a combined capacity of 4,509 megawatts (MW) experienced outages.

The red alert was for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m, which was lifted at 5:00 p.m. The two yellow alerts, on the other hand, were for 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. But the NGCP in its latest advisory said the yellow alert will be retained until 8:00 p.m on Tuesday.
