(UPDATE) MALACAÑANG did not object to the recommendation of the Senate blue ribbon committee to file criminal and administrative charges against a senior official of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and three resigned officials of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) Board.
Posting his reaction on his social media account, Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez hailed members of the Senate Committee on Accountability of Public Officers and Investigations, better known as the blue ribbon committee, chaired by Sen. Francis Tolentino for their swift action in the unauthorized issuance of Sugar Order 4 (SO 4) and for recommending the filing of charges against those responsible for the illegal act.
