ZAMBOANGA CITY: Philippine soldiers rescued an Australian yachter off Zamboanga City after drifting for days in waters near strongholds of the pro-ISIS group Abu Sayyaf.
The Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM) said Malcolm McIntyre departed the port of Dampier in Western Australia on August 4 and was sailing for Cebu City to visit his Filipino wife, Mira Luna Labrador, and their son in Cebu City.
