Lawmaker wants Marcos top aide summoned to House probe on sugar importation

EXECUTIVE Secretary Vic Rodriguez should be summoned in the joint investigation being conducted by a committee at the House of Representatives on the foiled importation of 300,000 metric tons of sugar, a lawmaker said on Thursday.

'Why did we not invite the executive secretary in order to shed light on these allegations and claims. If it is true that they were discussing the urgency of this issue that there is an impending shortage of sugar,' Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta said during the joint hearing by the Committees on Good Government and Public Accountability and Agriculture and Food.
