Peso closes at new low of P57.135 vs dollar

THE Philippine peso weakened further to yet another new record level at P57.135 against the United States dollar at the Philippine Dealing System on Wednesday, the Bankers Association of the Philippines said.

The day's trading had the peso open at P57, hit an intra-day low of P57.33 and closed to a new record low of P57.22 against the dollar.
