Inflation slightly eases to 6.3% in Aug

THE inflation rate eased to 6.3 percent in August from 6.4 percent in July, data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Tuesday showed.

Although August's inflation rate exceeded the government's target of 2 to 4 percent, it was within the 5.9- to 6.7-percent range of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
