TOURISM Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco applauded the opening of Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, saying this new hotel property will not only help promote Cebu to be 'one of the leading leisure destinations in Asia' but led the charge to the tourism industry.

'Two years ago, when the pandemic met our shores, everything came to a standstill. At the time when the future was uncertain, Cebu had always led the charge not only in the recovery of our economy but in the recovery of the tourism industry,' Frasco, former Liloan City mayor, said during the resort launch on Sept. 1, 2022.
