Peso plunges to record low: P56.98 vs US dollar

THE Philippine peso plunged to a record low of P56.985 against the US dollar during intraday trading on Monday, according to the Bankers Association of the Philippines.

The local currency dropped by 85 centavos on Monday from the P56.90 intraday trading low last Friday.
