Natl ID to step up digitalization efforts

THE Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or the national ID program will help speed up the digitalization of the government's programs, Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno said.

Diokno told reporters Friday that PhilSys would help bring the programs to the next level by providing a verified database of recipients, which would result in reduced fraud and leakages.
