THE National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) again directed telecommunications companies to send out warnings to its subscribers against the renewed proliferation of scam text messages, which now contain the name of the recipient.
According to the NTC memorandum that was issued last August 26, it tasked the network service providers – Globe Telecom, Smart Communications and DITO Telecommunity, to send out the alerts that will run from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2022.
