(UPDATE) THE Court of Appeals (CA) has denied former senator Leila de Lima's petition questioning Senate rules preventing her to attend the committee meetings or hearings when she was a lawmaker due to her detention.
In a five-page ruling penned by Associate Justice Jaime Fortunato Caringal, the CA's 10th Division dismissed de Lima's petition for certiorari for being moot and academic.
