LTO welcomes suspension of 'no contact apprehension policy'

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) welcomed on Tuesday the decision of the Supreme Court ordering a temporary halt to the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) that is being implemented in key cities in the National Capital Region (NCR).

In a statement, LTO Chief lawyer Teofilo Guadiz 3rd said the agency will continue to reach out to different stakeholders in crafting the guidelines for the access of LGUs to its information technology (IT) facility, pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act 10930 and its implementing rules and regulations (IRR).
