MILITARY and police forces arrested eight lawless elements and seized drug paraphernalia during a joint law enforcement operation in Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi, on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Armed Forces of the Philippines on Friday, the troops from the Marine Battalion Landing Team 1 and personnel from the Panglima Sugala Municipal Police Station responded to a report of sporadic firing in Sitio Upper Maalum, Barangay Magsaggaw, Panglima Sugala. The firing came from the group of a certain alias Akmad, a known drug pusher.
