NGCP completes San Jose-Angat upgrade

THE National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) has completed the San Jose-Angat 115-kilovolt transmission line upgrading project, further securing the reliability of power transmission services for the Luzon grid.

'The upgrading of this line is critical to the overall reliability of transmission services for Luzon, since the aged line will not be able to handle the full capacity dispatch of the 246-megawatt power plant,' NGCP said in a statement on Friday.
