CHEd chairman backs govt anti-insurgency program amid sister's arrest

(UPDATE) THE older sister of Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero de Vera was arrested by authorities on Tuesday, Philippine National Police Chief, Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said on Friday.

Adora Faye de Vera is believed to be a high-ranking officer of the Communist Party of the Philippines - New People's Army (CPP-NPA). She was charged for multiple murder and links to communist group.
