PSEi inches up on bargain hunting

INVESTORS hunted for bargains on Wednesday as the local bourse gained 25.07 points, or 0.38 percent, to settle at 6,643.45 after two straight days of decline at the support level of 6,600.

Philstocks Financial Inc. research associate Claire Alviar and Regina Capital Development Corp. Managing Director Luis Limlingan both said the market's rise was a technical bounce back at the 6,600 level amid lighter volumes as investors waited for the speech from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell in the United States.
