Storm alerts lifted, southwest monsoon affecting parts of PH

THE state-run weather agency said on Wednesday that all storm alerts have been lifted and only the southwest monsoon locally known as 'habagat' is affecting most parts of the country.

In its 5p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Severe Tropical Storm 'Florita' (international name: Ma-on) was some 585 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
