Govt's intensified campaign vs sugar hoarders reaches Cagayan de Oro

THE government's intensified campaign against sugar hoarders and profiteers has reached Northern Mindanao as operatives from the Bureau of Customs (BoC) conducted a surprise inspection of a warehouse in Cagayan de Oro, reports reaching Malacañang on Wednesday showed.

Acting on orders from the Office of the President (OP), Customs agents swooped down on several warehouses of the Crystal Sugar Milling Inc. at North Poblacion. Based on intelligence reports, the owners are allegedly engaged in the hoarding of stocks of sugar.
