Marino lawmaker eyes stronger shipping industry

The Marino party-list outlined improvements to the nation's standing in the maritime sector by putting the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) and the shipping industry on its priority legislative agenda.

During a meeting with Marina officials on Friday, August 19, Marino representatives noted that one of their priorities is the growth of Marina in different parts of the Philippines to bring its services closer to seafarers residing outside the metros in processing their documents.
