In an email to the Khmer Times, US Embassy spokesman Stephanie Arzate said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had asked Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen during their meeting on August 4 to be fully transparent about Beijing's activities at the base, stressing that an "exclusive presence would risk damaging Cambodia's sovereignty, regional security and Asean unity."
