THE Philippines and India agreed to fast-track preparations for a bilateral maritime dialogue as they recognized their shared concerns on maritime security and the marine economy.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said both countries decided to build on the gains in their defense and security partnership as they convened in Manila for the 4th Philippines-India strategic dialogue on August 18.
