THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) urged local government units (LGUs) to help the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in distributing educational financial assistance to beneficiaries under the DSWD's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. said that LGUs must provide manpower support to facilitate an orderly distribution of the financial assistance and provide venues where the distribution of the AICS in the cities and municipalities may be done.
