AN infectious diseases expert said on Monday that it is necessary for the government to further intensify protocols on the spread of monkeypox because infection usually takes a long time. The symptoms appear slowly and, therefore, it is expected that detection will be slower.
Dr. Edsel Salvaña pointed this out after two more cases of monkeypox were reported in the country three weeks after the virus was first detected.
