AN electric cooperative in Occidental Mindoro is still appealing for P256 million from the provincial government to pay its power provider a penalty imposed by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) over a delay in conducting a competitive selection process (CSP) in procuring power supply since 2018.

The capitol had already twice rejected the plea for assistance from the Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Omeco), saying the cooperative was to blame for its troubles at present.
