MORE than 588,000 students are expected to return to school today, August 22, for face-to-face (F2F) classes in towns and cities in Cavite, Mindoro Oriental and Negros Occidental two years after in-person learning was suspended because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Cavite, Diana Topacio, chief of Schools Governance and Operations Division of the Department of Education (DepEd) Cavite, said 316,254 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are already enrolled in 17 cities and municipalities of the province as of Aug. 19, 2022, including Dasmariñas, Imus, Bacoor, General Trias, Trece Martires, Cavite City and Tagaytay.
