The US Embassy Civil Affairs Team (CAT) donated on August 12 disaster relief tents and medical supplies, valued at P1.6 million, to support local humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness in Palawan.
Members of the Philippine Coast Guard and US sailors from the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) aided with the delivery of the tents and supplies, which were turned over to the Palawan provincial government during a ceremony in Puerto Princesa City attended by Palawan Governor
