'Universal' Covid-19 vaccine in the works, but long way to go

SYDNEY: Australian medical researchers are working toward creating a booster vaccine capable of dealing with an increasing number of coronavirus variants, a scientist said on Friday.

At a Westmead Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) seminar held as part of the Sydney Science Festival, virologist Sarah Palmer told participants this vaccine would target the shared features lurking within all forms of SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19.
