Pampanga truckers lauded for not overloading

THE North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corp. lauded the initiative of Pampanga quarry operators, through the efforts of Gov. Dennis Pineda, in cutting the sidings of their trucks to comply with the vehicle weight cited in the anti-overloading provisions of Republic Act (RA) 8794.

After a dialogue on Friday with the governor and representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Land Transportation Office, and NLEx, it was agreed that starting August 19, only sand-carrying 10-wheeler trucks with cut sidings, 33-ton weight limit compliant and with hauling passes issued by the Pampanga provincial government will be allowed to enter NLEx.
