A new low pressure area (LPA) was spotted off Cagayan but is unlikely to escalate into a tropical depression, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.
Moreover, weather specialist Benison Estareja told The Manila Times that the weather disturbance may eventually dissipate in 24 hours.
