THE Philippine National Police (PNP) stopped a group of United States lawmakers from entering its compound where former senator Leila de Lima was being detained.
BGen. Roderick Augustus Alba, chief of the PNP-Public Information Office, said that while the PNP Headquarters Support Service can present a briefing to the visiting delegation, led by US Sen. Edward Markey, they should first seek permission from the court if they want to see de Lima.
