Ammo depot fire, blasts rattle Crimea

KYIV: The world's attention on Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Tuesday turned anew to the Moscow-annexed Crimean Peninsula, where a mysterious ammunition storage fire and explosions that injured two people was the second incident of its kind in a week to shake Russia's sensitivities.

About 2,000 people were evacuated from nearby areas, according to the local governor. Videos of the fire and the blasts on social media showed thick plumes of smoke rising over the raging flames, and a series of multiple explosions could be heard in the background.
