12 terrorists surrender to troops in Maguindanao

THE Philippine Army (PA) said 12 members of a terrorist group voluntarily surrendered and yielded their firearms to state troops in two separate occasions in Maguindanao.

According to the PA, the rebels presented themselves to the 6th Infantry Battalion (6IB) and 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (2MIB), all under the 601st Infantry Brigade (601IB), on August 12 and 13.
