Phivolcs head Renato Solidum named interim DoST chief

PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) chief Renato Solidum as the new interim Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Malacañang confirmed Friday.

'We confirm the appointment of Mr. Renato Umali Solidum Jr as Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology,' Press Secretary Rose Beatrix 'Trixie' Cruz-Angeles told reporters in a text message.
