DFA maintains Alert Level 1 in Israel despite ceasefire

THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) maintained Alert Level 1 in Israel as it welcomed the cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Monday evening, the DFA said the Philippine government 'hopes that the ceasefire holds.' 'We call on parties to exercise restraint and to respect the terms of the ceasefire,' it said. 'As of the time of this announcement, there is no report of any Filipino harmed in the conflict,' it added.
