DepEd welcomes probe on purchase of laptops

THE Department of Education (DepEd) took to task Rep. France Castro of ACT Teachers party-list group for declaring anomalous the purchase of laptops in the absence of a final report from the Commission on Audit (CoA) or findings from the Office of the Ombudsman.

The department on Tuesday urged the lawmaker to be 'prudent' in her pronouncements on the matter.
