(UPDATE) THE National Irrigation Administration (NIA) on Saturday said it would be releasing water from Magat Dam in Isabela on Sunday, August 7, amid continuous rains brought by the low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon.

In an advisory, the NIA added that the NIA-Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-Mariis), in coordination with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), concerned local government units and the Disaster Risk Management offices will discharge at least 200 cubic meters per second (m3) of water from the dam starting at 2 p.m.
