PhilHealth extends dialysis coverage

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) has approved the coverage increase of outpatient hemodialysis from 90 sessions to a maximum of 144 sessions.

In a circular published on Wednesday, PhilHealth said members and their dependents with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 5, registered in the PhilHealth Dialysis Database were now allowed to avail of the maximum 144 hemodialysis sessions until Dec. 31, 2022.
