Marcos appoints lead physician as new FDA chief

PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed his lead physician as the new head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Malacañang announced Wednesday.

Dr. Samuel Zacate is one of the newly designated officials 'who will occupy vital positions for the continued service of the Marcos Jr. administration to the people,' Press Secretary Rose Beatrix 'Trixie' Cruz-Angeles said during a press briefing.
