MALACAÑANG on Wednesday insisted that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is not on a "veto spree", pointing out that out of the 41 new laws that have recently lapsed, only five were vetoed by the Chief Executive.

Press Secretary Rose Beatrix "Trixie" Cruz-Angeles was reacting to a statement made by Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero that Marcos Jr. was on a "bill vetoing spree", thumbing down bills passed by the previous Congress, the latest being the granting of tax exemption of the honoraria for teachers and other workers in government rendering service during elections.
