IMO welcomes Ukraine maritime corridor initiative

INTERNATIONAL Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General Kitack Lim welcomes the signing of the Black Sea Grain Initiative to establish a humanitarian maritime corridor to allow ships to export critical cargoes of grain and foodstuffs from Ukraine.

The initiative was signed in Istanbul, Turkey recently after several weeks of talks. IMO participated as part of the United Nations delegation.
