DA gets P8B to fund subsidy to rice farmers

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) on Monday confirmed that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released P8 billion to support the P5,000-subsidy to 1,563,781 rice farmers.

The DA said that the amount will support the implementation of the Rice Farmers' Financial Assistance (RFFA) program which provides financial assistance to farmers affected by the Rice Tariffication Law.
