Manila, Church pour aid for quake victims

THE Manila City government and the Dioceses of Laoag and Ilagan in Isabela are poised to provide aid to those affected by the magnitude 7 earthquake that devastated the regions of Ilocos and the Cordillera on July 27.

Manila Mayor Maria Sheila 'Honey' Lacuna-Pangan already directed the city government's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to contact the local governments in the affected regions in order to determine what assistance the City of Manila can provide so that these can be immediately prepared and brought to the areas.
